I know. Not a fun subject for a rainy Monday morning! But did you know that employers of female staff are legally obliged to provide a means of sanitary waste disposal, even if only one woman uses the facility? Are you also aware that you are then required to dispose of this waste in the correct and legal manner (which includes keeping records for 2 years)? And there are fines for failure to follow the rules! And we don’t really want these things flushed into the waterways (or blocking the facilities!). Well, it wasn’t as bad at this one.. but I loved it. And it’s ridiculous, but according to my accountant chap (the lovely James from the very lovely Fifth Element) it is more cost effective for Green Mop to buy me a brand new scooter. I am so tight thrifty that I find it difficult to get my head round spending more to pay less. He did explain why, but all I heard was blah blah blah spend it or lose it blah blah April blah tax. So that’s clear then!
